It’s heartbreaking watching your child struggle, isn’t it?
You know you’re a good parent, but it seems like no matter how hard you try, it’s never enough. You see your friends raising kids and wonder how they’re so perfect.
“What am I doing wrong?”
First, take a deep breath. You’re doing great. Children have complex emotional, social, and behavioral needs. And in our fast-paced, constantly-changing world, mental health concerns are more pressing than ever.
Who Do I Work With?
My specialty is working with young children ages 3-7 and their parents. I believe therapy is a systemic process and it’s vital to have parents involved in their child’s treatment. After all, children don’t live in a bubble!
I offer individual and family sessions. I also conduct therapy sessions with parents without the child present, when clinically appropriate.
Whether your child is working through fear of being away from you, aggression at school, difficulty expressing their feelings, or frequent temper tantrums, counseling can help them live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
Individual Counseling
In individual sessions, your child and I will work together to identify their emotions, and to learn healthy ways to express emotions. This is achieved through cognitive behavioral therapy, along with elements of play therapy. I will also include you in your child’s treatment planning, to ensure that we are working toward what you would like your child to achieve in therapy.
Family Counseling
In family sessions, I work with you and your child to better understand each other. I use various family therapy techniques and incorporate your strengths to personalize the experience.
Schedule a Consultation
In order to fully focus on you and your child’s needs, I intentionally limit the number of clients I see. I have weekend availability to accommodate your busy schedule.
Let’s schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation and see if we’re a good fit.
